Numina Labs is a research-to-product studio based in Amsterdam. We build human-centered AI products and software — both our own and for the companies we partner with.
The name comes from the Latin numen — a divine force, the spirit that animates things. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to: not software that merely functions, but software that feels right. That makes something move.
Behind the studio
Numina Labs is built and run by Justus van Eijk.
Before going all-in on AI and software, Justus spent years across disciplines — writing and producing an animated sci-fi series (Nova Pangea) entirely by hand, working in front of the camera as a model, and quietly teaching himself to build software that actually works.
That cross-disciplinary background isn’t incidental — it shapes how Numina Labs approaches every project. Design matters. Story matters. The human using the product matters more than the technology serving them.
Today, Justus is building a suite of AI products under the Numina Labs umbrella — Paso and Eatsight — while also partnering with companies that need a thoughtful engineering and AI hand.
